Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Clinical Rotations & Experience

About Clinical Rotations and Experience

Participants in the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program will have the opportunity to gain experience in a wide variety of rotations and clinic settings, including:

  • Inpatient Adolescent psychiatry rotation at Riverside University Health System-Medical Center (RUHS- MC) Inpatient Treatment Facility (ITF)
  • RUHS-Behavioral Health (RUHS-BH) Outpatient Clinics
  • University of California Riverside Outpatient Mental Health Clinics
  • RUHS-MC for Outpatient and Inpatient Pediatric Consultation/Liaison rotation and Outpatient Pediatric Neurology Clinic
  • Crogan Youth Treatment & Education Center (YTEC)

Program Year 1 (PGY-1)

Fellows are in clinics either whole or half day throughout the year in the following services:

Program Year 2 (PGY-2)

Fellows rotate primarily through integrated medical/mental health clinic and general outpatient pediatric psychiatry clinics across the Riverside University Health System - Behavioral Health and UCR Health  providing specialized services such as:

  • Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT)
  • Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT)

On-Call Responsibilities

Our residents have no in-house on-call requirements and all hospital rotations have an on-site attending faculty psychiatrist present at all times.
